"Forget ChatGPT? Why Google Gemini Might Be the Next AI Leader"

hipsterforus 2025. 5. 20. 22:51

For months, the AI spotlight has been dominated by OpenAI’s ChatGPT. But something is shifting — and it’s coming from Google’s camp.

I recently came across an editorial by a respected computer science professor who specializes in algorithms — a field that demands the highest levels of logical and mathematical rigor. His take was surprising: among the latest wave of AI tools, only Gemini earned his highest praise. That alone made me pause.

We’ve all heard about Gemini 1.5 and 2.0, but the release of Gemini 2.5 seems to have marked a turning point. Until now, many users (myself included) defaulted to ChatGPT out of habit. But those who’ve spent time with Gemini’s latest model are noticing something: it’s not just catching up — it’s pushing ahead in key areas like code reasoning, structured problem solving, and integration with Google’s own ecosystem.

What does this mean for Alphabet’s stock?

From an investment standpoint, Google has always had solid fundamentals — search dominance, YouTube, Android, and cloud services. But the market craves narrative, and AI dominance is the next big story. If Gemini continues to impress researchers and developers alike, it could become a cornerstone of Google’s renewed growth narrative.

I’ve started to look at Alphabet (GOOGL) again — not just as a tech giant, but as a serious contender in the AI arms race. While this isn't financial advice, I’m personally setting a short-term watch around the $180 mark. Whether it gets there or not, Gemini’s progress has already succeeded in one thing: putting Google back on the radar for tech watchers and investors alike.

Sometimes, it’s not just about the best product — it’s about shifting perception. And right now, Gemini is doing just that.

For advice, I asked to Chat GPT about investing to Google.

This advice maybe not correct but I agree to this opinion. I'll invest some amount to Google stock.
